Emergency Dentist in Watford

In pain, broken a tooth, or been let down by your own dentist? We keep same-day emergency appointments so you can be seen and relieved of pain — often in a single visit.

With an on-site lab, CT scanner and over 20 years’ experience, most emergencies are diagnosed and treated here rather than referred on — which matters when you just want it sorted today.

What types of problems..

For some people a chipped front tooth may be an emergency. For others, they may not consider seeing a dentist until they are unrecognisable due to their pain and suffering.

We can help you if…
  • You have a facial swelling
  • You have tooth or gum pain with or without a swelling
  • Pain medication is not helping
  • Your usual dentist has no availability
  • You have a broken tooth or teeth
  • You want a wobbly tooth removed
  • Wisdom tooth pain

We can NOT help you if…

  • You had treatment performed on your teeth abroad
  • You can not climb stairs (our treatment rooms are on the first floor)

Typical fees

Nobody likes a surprise when it comes to costs especially in the current times, so we will always be up front with our fees.

For your examination, consultation and diagnosis of your pain we charge £49. (Normally £86)

It is likely that we will need to take at least one small X-ray and that is £15.50.

Once we know what is causing your pain we will show you images and discuss your options. Once you choose an option you will know your costs. We think that is the only fair way to treat people.

You can get an idea of costs when you call to make an appointment.

When you’ve got sudden tooth pain in Watford, the last thing you want is to be told the nearest appointment is next week or that you’ll have to travel into London. We keep same-day emergency slots at our Whippendell Road practice, with evening appointments to 7pm on Mondays and Wednesdays — so people from Watford, Rickmansworth, Bushey and across Hertfordshire can be seen quickly and get out of pain the same day. Because we have an on-site lab and CT scanner, most emergencies are diagnosed and treated here in a single visit rather than referred on to another clinic.
