I tell them that I have a dentist who takes great pride in his work and who cares for his patients and I won’t ever move! From my initial call with the receptionist to arrange an emergency appointment to my treatment with Dr Gulshan, the entire experience was seamless, transparent, and reassuring. I was suffering from a tooth ache and, as an extremely nervous patient, I was apprehensive about the treatment process. However, every option was thoroughly explained to me, from extraction to root canal treatment, ensuring I had a clear understanding of my choices. He does my children’s sports guards for school and identified that she needed some teeth taken out to create room for adult teeth to grow which her other dentist didn’t, we booked an appointment and were seen quickly. My daughter’s procedure went so seemlessly we could hardly believe it was done and she was still smiling. Dr Murgai spoke to her so calmly, explaining everything step by step and before you know it the procedure was complete. I would highly recommend Skin & Smiles. Stephanie K12 April 2022Every visit to this clinic has been a pleasure, not something one would normally hear about the dentists, but I wanted to share my experience at Skin and Smiles, I almost look forward to the next visit. I took advantage of a first free consultation in which my options were outlined, and led onto several others for investigation, 3D scanning, Xrays, and discussions about what I wanted to achieve. Dr Murgai is honest in what can be achieved, is most detailed in his explanations of treatment and costs. His range of high-tech equipment is outstanding and it complements his professional skill and personable manner, along with his in-depth knowledge and consummate expertise has ensured each visit has been most beneficial. He explained each step of the process and allowed me several options with a full financial breakdown of costs and the honest expectation of the desired outcome. There was no pressure to chose the any particular options, the possibilities of what could be achieved and at what price was my choice and I’m so very pleased with the work. The team at this clinic are pleasant, professional and most importantly are friendly yet efficient; nothing is too much trouble. I always feel confident in their capacity to put me at my ease. The practice manager phones a couple of days after major works to enquire how I feel and I know that if there was a problem, their 24-hour support line is there if needed. I know they would accommodate me at very short notice, later the same day if needed. The team which surrounds Dr Murgai are wonderful, his practice manager, his dental nurses, his hygienist, and his laboratory technicians are superb and experts in their particular dental field. My teeth/gums have deteriorated over the years and whilst I’ve had treatment by other dentists over the years, it was time to seriously assess my long-term prospects. Dr Murgai took a holistic approach of my mouth, and we discussed the options available. This was reassuring and I didn’t feel as though I was just another customer. The different costs of alternative treatments were thoroughly explained in a treatment plan and I was given the choice of which of the packages I wanted. I’ve felt safe and reassured in every way since my first free consultation to my very soon to be completed transformation. I had contemplated going abroad for implants as the cost was less, I can emphatically state that having a local professional expert clinic was been the best option for me. I wanted one place to go to get everything sorted and not to have to look for a specialist for crowns, implants etc Very professional service and I was immediately made to feel at ease and I knew I had made the right choice I had to have a crown on a tooth that was cracked and this was all sorted within the same appointment, very impressive I also needed an implant and whilst this took several months from start to finish, I knew I was in good hands. Firstly I would like to echo the reviews from those who have reservations regarding dental treatment. As someone who is anxious with dental care I can say that my treatment was first class. I was completely put at ease by their care, communication and professionalism. In my case the treatment was complex, including an extraction, yet was carried out without causing me any discomfort or worry and I am extremely pleased with the quality of the work Dr Murgai has undertaken. Haleema Khan2 September 2020I’m going to start this review with a MASSIVE thank you to Gulshan and the team. Since the age of 6 I had lost my tooth which had caused me to be self-conscious, and my confidence over the years has been so low with every treatment I had under the NHS from root canal to having temporary bridges etc, it’s been one hell of a journey. After paying hundreds of pounds on consultations, and being told by several previous “professionals” that nothing could be done for me as an implant would be flat out impossible to achieve due to the lack of bone, I then found Skin and Smiles online after reading their reviews and booked an appointment with them. Gulshan guided me carefully on all the options that were available to me, which over the years I’ve never received such detailed and honest advice. My ultimate goal was to go down the implant route because it’s what I wanted and Gulshan promised he would do the best he can. Unfortunately, my circumstances was rather strange as the implant had failed due to Gulshan finding a tooth fragment during the procedure which caused many complications. But Gulshan and the team did not give up, and reassured me that everything will be okay. Now 15 months later, I have finally got an implant! I cannot stop smiling right now and I’m ever so thankful and grateful that the “impossible” was achieved. They didn’t give up on me and didn’t just give me an “it will do” or “this is the best we can do” result (as I’ve been told by individuals in the past when giving me just bridges). The result Gulshan and the team have given me is PERFECT! I couldn’t be more impressed with the result I’ve been given and I want to thank you all again for looking after me! My initial scepticism was quickly dashed as Gulshan carefully talked through the options available explaining not only to my wife, but also to me, exactly what would be involved with the proposed treatment plan. We decided to go with Gulshan's proposals and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we have ever made. Everything went to plan and when I had a dental problem myself Skin & Smiles was my first port of call. A few appointments and an implant later left me as good as new. I have been continually impressed with the shear professionalism of the whole team and there is nowhere else that either my wife or I would consider going for any of our dental work. Danny Edwards8 August 2019I Have always had problems with my teeth ( my own fault ) and have had survere tooth loss since age 18. At the start of this year I was told I would need all my teeth removed and full dentures fitted at the age of 38 and a cost of £50,000 ... luckily I was told to visit skin and smiles for a second opinion, thank god as it was the best decision I have ever made . I now have a full set of lovely white teeth ( partial dentures and many restored teeth) which look amazing and feel natural, for a quarter of the price. I couldn’t have imagined my smile would ever look this good and my mouth/ gums be this healthy. The care gulshan and his team gave was amazing, such a professional down to earth straight taking man. Jon Whycer14 March 2019My initial reason for choosing the Whippendale Dental Clinic for implant treatment was the huge number of 5-star reviews here on WhatClinic. My experience fully justified those reviews and now I add my own 5-star review to them. Dr Gulshan Murgai has proved to be an absolute star! Not only is he highly experienced, knowledgeable and thoroughly professional, he's also a really nice guy. His staff too are excellent and very friendly. Each time I had an appointment it almost felt as though I was visiting friends! Here are things that I particularly appreciated: The preliminary conversations we had to help me decide what approach would be best in my particular case. Very helpful information, all questions answered and guidance is given without any pressure whatsoever. As a result, the conclusion and decision I arrived at proved to be the right one. The successful procedures Dr Murgai undertook to provide me with a full set of implants and replacement teeth - that now look and feel great and work well. His obvious huge technical skill. The detailed explanations Dr Murgai gave me about everything that I asked - and I asked a lot because I'm into detail and knowing 'whys' and 'hows'. The exceptional care he took to get everything right - not just 'good enough' but the best possible outcome. If something needed adjusting he took the time and trouble to do that each time it arose. The state-of-the-art equipment and facilities in which Dr Murgai has invested to enable him to deliver the highest quality dental surgery. The fact that Dr Murgai has his own dental lab and skilled technicians on site so that everything is under his control and done to his high standards. So was the experience entirely pain-free? You wouldn't expect it to be in my case, with extensive surgery involved, but Dr Murgai did his best to effectively minimise the discomfort. No complaints but I really don't like injections! Still, Dr Murgai's skill meant that I really couldn't feel a whole lot while he was working on me. So would I recommend Dr Murgai and his clinic? Absolutely! My experience fully justified those reviews and now I add my own 5-star review to them.Dr Gulshan Murgai has proved to be an absolute star! Not only is he highly experienced, knowledgeable and thoroughly professional, he's also a really nice guy. His staff too are excellent and very friendly. Each time I had an appointment it almost felt as though I was visiting friends!Here are things that I particularly appreciated:The preliminary conversations we had to help me decide what approach would be best in my particular case. Very helpful information, all questions answered and guidance is given without any pressure whatsoever. As a result, the conclusion and decision I arrived at proved to be the right one.The successful procedures Dr Murgai undertook to provide me with a full set of implants and replacement teeth - that now look and feel great and work well. His obvious huge technical skill. The detailed explanations Dr Murgai gave me about everything that I asked - and I asked a lot because I'm into detail and knowing 'whys' and 'hows'.The exceptional care he took to get everything right - not just 'good enough' but the best possible outcome. If something needed adjusting he took the time and trouble to do that each time it arose. The state-of-the-art equipment and facilities in which Dr Murgai has invested to enable him to deliver the highest quality dental surgery. The fact that Dr Murgai has his own dental lab and skilled technicians on site so that everything is under his control and done to his high standards.So was the experience entirely pain-free? You wouldn't expect it to be in my case, with extensive surgery involved, but Dr Murgai did his best to effectively minimise the discomfort. No complaints but I really don't like injections! Still, Dr Murgai's skill meant that I really couldn't feel a whole lot while he was working on me. So would I recommend Dr Murgai and his clinic? Absolutely! Patsy Rees21 February 2019I recently had treatment at Skin and Smiles for crowns and implants. I was very nervous and apprehensive before my initial appointment/assessment. I needn't have worried! Dr Gushan Murgai and his team were incredibly reassuring and welcoming. They put me at ease and Gulshan explained the options available clearly, answered my questions patiently and listened to my concerns. The result is that I now have a smile to be proud of! Before, I would be conscious of the gaps in my mouth and would not smile or laugh naturally. Gulshan is truly a miracle worker! Apart from the cosmetic side of things, I can eat anything now and my dental health is the best it has been for years! I would also like to give a special mention to the practice manager Laura Moldovan who was (and is) always willing to reassure and go over anything I had forgotten to ask in the treatment room! She is a very important member of this fantastic team as the first contact in the surgery. I would thoroughly recommend the Skin and Smiles team for their professionalism, caring, hard work and humour! The premises are high tech and absolutely immaculate so I will be continuing my dental care with this clinic.Posted on Google

Jo Basey22 May 2018I was greeted by a friendly receptionist, my doctor was extremely skilled and my result was the best ever shape lips I have ever had (lip filler) my treatment was painless and I was made to feel relaxed and comfortable from the minute I walked into the reception and throughout my treatment. I never have to wait for my appointment, which is brilliant as I can rely on the time I'm likely to be having my treatment. Steve Dunn13 March 2018I use Gulshan for my Dental needs and have always been really pleased with the results and his caring attitude.. I tried the practices skin rejuvenation services, which I usually go to a large cosmetic surgery to have done. A few months ago I thought I would give Gulshan a try, as his prices were very competitive. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. On recommendation from a friend I visited Skin and Smiles. They were so friendly and helped me to relax and feel like they understood my fear. I had many appointments and now have a lovely smile. The clinic was very neat and hygienic, The doctor was very good and treated me with great respect. They told me what would happen and how the procedure will go and the recovery too. I can't recommend this practice enough Previously 2 implants and today 2 crowns I had two very painless implants 3 years ago. Today I had two temporary crowns put in. Dr Murgai was as always kind and explained everything. I have had a lot of dental work over the years and I am nervous of visiting the dentist. I can't recommend this practice enough. Don't go abroad for implants, you won't save money in the long run. Pay the money. Visiting 2 Harley St clinics, Whippendell Dental Clinic was local and by far the most honest and realistic advise I had had! Dr Murgai was very reassuring and accommodating , I had work over 6 months every evening after my treatment I had a call to check how I was, the sessions were not rushed and overall am very happy , now my wife has decided to have some implants done as she saw how well the whole treatment went, thanks I will highly recommend the clinic for any dental procedures.Posted on WhatclinicRodoulla4 July 2013Reassuring and positive Having had bad experiences in the past with dentists, I decided to attend this clinic based on the reviews I had read. Still feeling negative about dentists, I attended my initial consultation. The dentist was very reassuring and positive which was a good sign for me as every other dentist I had seen would make me feel like I had the worst teeth in the history of teeth!!The treatment went well and the Dentist kept me informed of the treatment every step of the way. Another good point also is they did not make me feel like a pest when I would phone them if I had a problem, a question or needed reassurance. The staff are great and made me feel very welcome and I felt like an individual, not just an entry in the appointment diary.
